PageSpeed & Performance

A slow site costs trust, conversions, and rankings. Speed is one of the most common reasons clients contact me - and one of the places where careful experience matters. I optimize for Core Web Vitals and real load behavior, not a vanity 100 score that breaks your shop.

How I work with you

You care that pages feel fast on phones and that customers can buy or inquire without waiting. I dig into themes, plugins, images, scripts, and hosting response - then explain what changed in language that makes sense. After many WordPress performance projects, I know which "speed tips" help and which create new problems.

Who it's for

Businesses with WordPress or WooCommerce sites that feel sluggish, score poorly on PageSpeed Insights, or lose visitors before the page finishes loading.

Problems I solve

  • Slow loading pages and poor Core Web Vitals
  • Heavy themes and plugin stacks dragging the site down
  • Unoptimized images and render-blocking scripts
  • Good content that underperforms because the site feels slow
  • WooCommerce cart and checkout that lag under real conditions
  • Past "optimizations" that broke layout or functionality

What you get

  • Performance audit with prioritized fixes
  • Image, caching, and asset optimization
  • Core Web Vitals improvements measured before and after
  • Safe changes tested against forms, checkout, and admin
  • Short maintenance notes so gains stick

What a visitor feels - and what we fix

People leave when a page takes too long. Google notices too. The goal is not a pretty lab screenshot; it is a site that responds quickly on mobile and desktop while still doing its job.

That usually means finding the real bottlenecks - oversized media, theme bloat, third-party scripts, slow server response - instead of installing yet another caching plugin and hoping. When the site also needs structural SEO work, I often pair this with technical SEO.

Why experience matters on performance work

Speed work touches everything: theme code, plugins, CDN, images, fonts, and sometimes hosting. Rush it and you break checkout. Ignore the stack and you chase scores forever.

I have optimized WordPress and WooCommerce sites across industries for years. I know when a theme rewrite helps, when a plugin should go, and when a website rebuild is the honest recommendation.

Clear communication, careful delivery

You will get before/after numbers and a short explanation of what we changed and why. No mystery black-box "optimization package." If hosting is the ceiling, I will say so instead of selling endless frontend tweaks.

How I work

  1. 1

    Measure what users feel

I benchmark Core Web Vitals, PageSpeed Insights, and real-world load behavior - on mobile and desktop - so we know where time is actually lost.

  2. 2

    Find the real bottlenecks

Themes, plugins, images, fonts, third-party scripts, and server response time. I trace the slow path instead of applying generic speed tricks.

  3. 3

    Optimize without breaking things

Caching, image formats, defer/async scripts, database cleanup, and selective plugin changes - tested so checkout, forms, and admin still work.

  4. 4

    Document before/after

You get clear before/after numbers and a short maintenance note so the gains stick after I leave.

Common questions

Will you chase a 100 PageSpeed score?

No. I optimize for Core Web Vitals and real user experience. A perfect lab score with a broken checkout is worse than a fast, working site in the 80s.

Do I need a new host?

Often not. Many WordPress sites are slow because of theme bloat, unoptimized images, or plugin overhead - not because the host is wrong. I will tell you honestly if hosting is the bottleneck.

Can you speed up WooCommerce?

Yes. Cart, checkout, and product pages have their own constraints. I optimize those flows carefully so speed improvements do not break sales.

How much faster should I expect?

It depends on the starting point, but most clients see meaningful LCP and TTFB improvements within the first round of fixes. I measure and show you the delta.

Will you explain what you changed?

Yes. You get a practical summary - what was slow, what we fixed, and what to avoid later - without assuming you want a deep dive into every script tag.
